University can be a difficult and stressful time. As you try to juggle school, work and family responsibilities, these demands can sometimes be overwhelming. We have both personal counseling and group counseling services available to provide you support and assistance with coping with a broad range of challenges.
Among many other purposes, the University is providing guidance to students’ life, help the students to recognize their needs, values, and potential and become capable of meeting the moral, social, cultural and emotional concerns of their lives. The counseling and guidance services create number of activities and programs which address the needs of students from early freshman year to career oriented and graduation year. The counseling and guidance services consist of the following:

• General Assembly for all students 4 times per semester/trimester
• General University Requirement Academic Advising
• Relaxation Techniques
• Effective Student Skills
• Personal Counseling
• Career Planning
• Referral to mental health and disability services
• Gender sensitivity and awareness
• Gender-based violence and abusive relationships
Personal Counseling
Personal counseling provides an opportunity to talk with an objective professional who will keep your discussions confidential.
While you are enrolled in classes at LCU, you are eligible for personal counseling at no cost. During the vacation break, you are eligible if you are enrolled in vacation classes, were enrolled in the previous semester. A member of LCU’s alumni may also be eligible for limited personal counseling, consultation and referral to community resources.
